Abstract:Rare earth samples were systematically collected from surface water (n=37), groundwater (n=31), stream sediments (n=81), soil (n=242) and rocks (n=472) in southeastern Hebei province. In order to study the content of 14 kinds of rare earth elements (REE) based on their reference values and the distribution pattern of REE, the authors employed statistical analysis and the method of lithologic exposure weighting. Based on the migration of the elements and the pattern of the rock-soil-stream sediments-groundwater and surface water, the authors hold that, with the evolution of soil, REE are concentrated in soil and the HREE are more obviously concentrated than the LREE; Eu seems to change from negative anomaly in rocks and soil to positive anomaly in groundwater and surface water. Groundwater and surface water have similar content and distribution patterns of REE.
