Based on the description of the spherical wavelet theory, this paper has induced and compared several kinds of spherical wavelets, analysed the newest Earth Gravity Model-EGM 96 and, on such a basis, used multi resolution analysis of spherical wavelets to calculate the global free air gravity anomaly and gravity geoid, with an explanation given on the proceesing result.
