CLASSIFICATION OF SEISMIC PROFILES AND HORIZONTAL CORRELATION OF THREE SHALLOW WAVES
Zhang Xueqiang, Bao Junqiang, Liu Jiangping, Zhou Hongqiu
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 7-13.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (727KB) ( 908 )

Three seismic waves illustrated in this paper refer to reflected compressional wave, refracted compressional wave and Rayleigh wave. The horizontal correlations means correlation of properties between wave fields of the three waves and correlation between seismic velocities obtained from their inversion results. The aim of the correlation is to determine the horizons as well as the strata that form the three waves in seismic sections and to provide theoretical basis for comprehensive inversion by means of cross association of the three waves. This paper is an important part of method and theory which can be used in simutaneous multitype wave exploration. It recounts the classification method and naming method based on the relation between velocity values in strata and between horizons in the section with the purpose of adopting this new forward and inversion technique for multitype wave exploraton. Finally, the paper discusses the horizontal correlation in the light of relationship between the wave field characteristics and the velocity values.

CHARACTERISTICS OF GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALIES IN MAIN GOLD DEPOSITS OF DEVONIAN STRATA ALONG THE QINLING OROGENIC BELT(SHAANXI PART) AND INDICATORS FOR PROSPECTING
    Wang Ruiting
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 14-20.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (307KB) ( 1070 )

There exist plentiful stratiform and statabound metallic deposits in the Devonian strata of Qinling region along the boundary of Shaanxi Province. Under the guidance of the viewpoint that the structure clearly controls gold deposits and that paulopost alteration is superimposed upon hydrothermal solution exhalative sedimentation, this paper sums up characteristics of geophysical and geochemical anomalies of the main Devonian stratabound gold deposits in the Qinling orogenic belt of Shaanxi Province. Moreover, based on an analysis of the deposits geology and the metallogenic regularity of the Devonian stratabound gold deposits, this paper points out the indicators for prospecting of the Devonian stratabound gold deposits in this region.

A DISCUSSION ON THE APPLICATION OF THE GEOCHEMICAL MERCURY SURVEY
    Wei Jingshen
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 21-27.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (626KB) ( 978 )

The author puts forward a new view on the technology and application of the geochemical mercury survey which has been usedboth in China and abroad for years. This opinion points out the developing orientation of the mercury survey technology. It is held that mercury vapor comes mainly from structural faulted zones, that mercury anomalies are not necessarily in direct connection with various types of orebodies (except for mercury orebodies),and that mercury anomalies produced by orebodies are insignificant compared with mercury anomalies produced by barren structural faulted zones. It is also considered that mercury survey can be used in all geologic fieds related to structural faults.

A STUDY OF TRANSPORTING AND ACCUMULATIVE MECHANISM OF ELEMENTS IN PLANTS
Kong Mu, Ren Tianxiang, Kong Lingshao, Ma Maohua
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 33-37.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (376KB) ( 1097 )

This paper reports the accumulative mechanism of elements assimilated by plants in the Xiaoxilin Pb-Zn deposit of Heilongjiang and Jiaolongzhang of Gansu. Studies show that there exist marked difference between accumulative mechanism of nutritive elements and that of toxic elements. When the nutritive elements are assimilated by plant, they are accumulated in every organ, and the organs are related to the function of elements in plants.Toxic elements are excluded when they are assimilated by plant they are accumulated in organs, where organ toxic elements exert very little or no poisonous effect upon plants.

A STUDY OF THE HIGH-RESOLUTION SEISMIC EXPLORATION AND COLLECTION TECHNIQUE IN LUODUXI STRUCTURE OF SICHUAN BASIN
    Luo Renzhe
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 38-45.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (431KB) ( 776 )

The reflected wave of Lei-1 seismic profile measured during the high resolution exploration in 1991 is characterized by poor continuity and weak energy. Aimed at overcoming these weaknesses and solving three geological problems(thin oil,-gas-bearing layer, low porosity and the relationship between the oil-,gas-producing capacity and the development of fissures in Sichuan basin), the authors carried out the test of high resolution seismic exploration technique in 1997 so as to find out the structural form and the distribution of faults along Lei-1 profile and, as a result, obtained the collection equipment disposition and the field working technique related to the high resolution seismic exploration, thus broadening the field of oil gas exploration in Sichuan basin.

A DISCUSSION ON THE PROBLEM OF NORMALIZED TOTAL GRADIENT
    Cai Yuehong, Cai Zongxi
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 46-50.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (225KB) ( 726 )

The Normalized Total Gradient has neither clear physical meaning nor complete mathematic theory as its basis, and it can only search the experimental law in the case of two and three dimensions. The authors hold that it is benefitial to get to know whether the GH(z) has mathematic and physical foundation or not and that the one who uses the GH(z) must take a very cautious attitude.

THE APPLICATION OF HIGH-STRAIN DYNAMIC TENTATIVE PILING TECHNIQUE TO THE DETERMINATION OF LIMITED BEARING CAPACITY OF PILE ENDPOINT SOIL
Guo Shengpu, Liu Yongxiang, Du Yulin
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 51-53.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (144KB) ( 544 )

The application of high-strain dynamic tentative piling technique to determining limited bearing capacity of pile endpoint soil is a good method in the field of dynamic depth detection. Using high-strain dynamic tentative piling technique, one can obtain the pile endpoint resistance at each hit in the process of hammering, which is the bearing capacity of the pile endpoint soil against the pile. Dividing the bearing capacity by the cross section area of the pile endpoint, one can figure out the limited bearing capacity of the pile endpoint soil. In combination with the injection depth of pile at each hit, the continuous variation of the bearing capacity of the pile endpoint soil with the depth can also be calculated.

GEOCHEMICAL DISTRIBUTION OF ELEMENTS AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL-ECOLOGICAL EFFECTS
    Zhou Guohua
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1999, 23 (1): 54-59,63.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (305KB) ( 705 )

Geochemical distribution of elements in the surficial media is not homogeneous, and a hierarchy of chemical patterns has been indicated by Xie Xuejin et al. (1993). It is commonly known that chemical elements not only serve as the components of biomass, but also take part in bioactivities in a variety of mechanisms. This paper makes a preliminary discussion on the environmental ecological effects of geochemical anomalies of different grades.
