Abstract There exist plentiful stratiform and statabound metallic deposits in the Devonian strata of Qinling region along the boundary of Shaanxi Province. Under the guidance of the viewpoint that the structure clearly controls gold deposits and that paulopost alteration is superimposed upon hydrothermal solution exhalative sedimentation, this paper sums up characteristics of geophysical and geochemical anomalies of the main Devonian stratabound gold deposits in the Qinling orogenic belt of Shaanxi Province. Moreover, based on an analysis of the deposits geology and the metallogenic regularity of the Devonian stratabound gold deposits, this paper points out the indicators for prospecting of the Devonian stratabound gold deposits in this region.
