Abstract It is difficult to find concealed lead-zinc deposits buried at middle-great depth. Electrical anomalies resulting from Zn-Pb deposits and those from carbonaceous strata can be detected by using AMT and Coherent IP. The relative phase parameters of the coherent IP can distinguish anomalies caused by Zn-Pb deposits from those caused by carbonaceous strata. AMT can be used to detect the distribution of faults, the electric layering and the spatial distribution of low-resistivity anomalous bodies.
