Abstract Using the neutron activation analysis method, the author studied the trace element characteristics of silicified and limonitized quartz sandstones, diabases, limestones and pyrite in the Laozhaiwan gold deposit, and analyzed the relationships between the elements. The results show that the accompanying elements of Au in the study area can be used to guide the ore-prospecting work.
