Abstract With a phasor diagram of normalized in-phase and quadrature response for the half-space models of different conductivities and flying heights, a quick approximation of resistivity mapping algorithm is introduced. Also a inversing method called the centroid depth algorithm is offered, which makes it possible for fast inversing of FAEM data. Several examples of inversion results based on theoretical data and survey data are also discussed.
