Abstract Abstract: As there exist very complex geological structures in metallic ore districts, the seismic method for metallic ore exploration is a very complicated problem. However, the method is characterized by relatively great prospecting depth, less ambiguity and comparatively high precision. This paper deals with the experiment and application effects of the seismic method in the tracing of ore deposits based on bore hole data and the detecting of deep ore bodies, with the seismic exploration in the Bairendaba polymetallic deposit in Inner Mongolia serving as an example.
