Abstract From September 23 to October 8,1997,tentative groundwater exploration was carried out by Y11B Aerogeophysical(Electric/Magnetic) Integrated Station and GPSnavigation locating in Anxi—Dunhuang area,Gansu Province.Using the uniform telluric model in combination with hydrogeologic data,the authors preliminarily delineated the freshwater area,transitional type water area,salt water area and bitter water area as well as spring lake.The inferred water quality,soil salinity and hydrogeologic units are quite consistent with what is said in the hydrogeologic reconnaissance report.With more detailed description,the inferences give analysis and interpretation of what is different in these two documents.
