Abstract In view of the characteristics of obvious changes in topography, geologic background and significant influence on geochemical element content in hilly area, this paper puts forward a method for geochemical investigation of land quality in hilly areas based on geological background analysis, with emphasis on soil geochemical survey of arable land, garden andgentle-slope land.According to the geological and geographical features of Ganzhou, detailed sample method laying in basins, valleys and mountains are,the method of plot-assignment based on geological background, the combination of eco-geological investigation and soil geochemical survey, the method of combining the pollution-free se-enriched concentration and the land quality files as the core.
