Abstract This paper briefly describes the principle of fuzzy distance coefficient classification method and,with this method,makes cluster analysis for deep gas bed and dry bed of Dongpu depression.The result is in good agreement with the conclusion drawn by logging,suggesting that the method is quite valuable in deep logging interpretation.
