TREND OF ELECTROMAGNETIC INSTRUMENTATION FOR ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENT
    Lin Jun
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 2000, 24 (3): 167-177.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (527KB) ( 1151 )

Being one of the effective geophysical investigation techniques in engineering and environment, electromagnetic (EM) survey has been well developed in these years. New EM instruments have been continually introduced into underground tube detection, underground water pollution monitoring and subsurface building detection and evaluation. With the purpose of filling in the blank area where the traditional EM methods and the ground penetrating radar (GPR) can not be applied effectively, frequency domain electromagnetic (FEM) instruments make use of frequency bands, in which the diffusion and displacement currents cannot be ignored, and the bit stream transmit technique. Time domain electromagnetic (TEM) instruments are shifted to the very early time of the off time electromagnetic responses. The detection resolution and efficiency can be improved by the new EM instruments. The electromagnetic integrated demonstration (EMID) at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory Cold Test Pit in USA shows the present status and development trend of the modern EM instrumentation.

    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 2000, 24 (3): 178-183.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (264KB) ( 693 )

According to the aerogeophysical integrated survey carried out in the Yellow River mouth area of Shandong Province, this paper describes the application of airborne gamma spectral data to the evaluation of environmental radiation level and the delineation of the limits of radioactive pollution. It is pointed out that, although the background radiation level of this area is relatively low,a number of radioactive anomalies detected within the area constitute an environmental problem which deserves our serious attention.

THE APPLICATION OF 3-D ANALYTICAL SIGNAL TECHNIQUE TO THE TREATMENT OF AEROMAGNETIC ANOMALIES IN SOUTH CHINA
    Zhang Jisheng
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 2000, 24 (3): 190-196.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (399KB) ( 771 )

In South China which lies in low latitudes, there are large quantities of granites and volcanic rocks, whose magnetic fields are different from those in other areas. This paper applied 3-D analytical signal technique to the treatment of aeromagnetic anomalies in South China so as to probe into the application effects of analytical signal technique in areas with different geological settings. It divided the South China magnetic fields on the basis of intensities of analytical signals and,in combination with the achievements in seismic and isotopic geochemical studies of South China granites, investigated the deep geological backgrounds for the division of magnetic fields.

STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF NORTHERN ORDOS BASIN REFLECTED BY AEROMAGNETIC DATA
    Ding Yanyun
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 2000, 24 (3): 197-202.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (336KB) ( 820 )

Based on aeromagnetic data, the author advances some opinions on the basement structure and relief of northern Ordos basin as well as the controlling role of the basement fault in the development of the basin, and makes description from characteristics of geophysical fields.Studies show that the southern part and western part of Ih Ju League constitute a deep depression. With Parker method, this paper has made combined calculation for gravity and magnetic data and determined the thickness and distribution of Cambrian Ordovician strata, thus providing grounds for oil and gas exploration at depth. The tectonic development of the basin and characteristics of the cover are also discussed.

THE ANTI-INTERFERENCE CAPACITY OF ADSORBED FILAMENTS AND SOME OTHER GEOCHEMICAL TECHNIQUES
    Zhao Xinhua, Xu Guohua
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 2000, 24 (3): 212-214,224.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (198KB) ( 523 )

In surface oil and gas geochemical exploration, the physiographic environments of the geochemical surveying points, especially the variation of the soil media, will exert obviously different interferences on different technical indices.A comparison of anti interference capacities between such techniques as adsorbed filaments, acid dissociated hydrocarbon and phase state hydrocarbon reveals that the adsorbed filament index has evident anti interference capacity.
