Abstract The calculation method of physical mechanics parameters and foundation intrinsic cycles by wave velocity test is briefly described in this paper. The application of wave velocity data in foundation investigation of high layer building is discussed with the foundation investigation of Hebei Telephone Exchange Office Buidling as an example.
