TASKS,FUNCTIONS AND METHODS OF GEOPHYSICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL PROSPECTING IN PROGNOSIS OF ORE RESOURCES
    Sun Wenke
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 1-6.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (679KB) ( 882 )

Prognosis of ore resources is an indispensable link in scientific exploration. The success rate of ore prognosis depends on people’s knowledge of ore resource regularity, the sufficiency of various sorts of information collected, and the reliability and practicability of criteria f or prognosis established on such a basis. In the application of geophysical and geochemical prospecting to the prognosis of ore resources, we should fully develop arid utilize direct and indirect ore-prospecting information in the data, and employ such methods as mapping-target model analogy, target indicating information statistics and target anomaly inference in practice. In order to push ahead with the prognosis of ore resources, we should utilize the available regional geophysical and geochemical data to the fullest extent and make interpretation on a combined and integrated basis. The systematic performance of large-scale geophysical and geochemical prospecting work, the establishment of geological-geophysical-geochemical models and prognostic criteria, the timely verification of prognostic results and the making of inference, the expansion and renewal of our knowledge and the training of qualified researchers seem to be the mast pressing tasks at present.

SOME PROBLEMS CONCERNING ELEMENT ZONING AND ITS APPLICATION TO GEOLOGICAL ORE-PROSPECTING
    Wu Zonghua, Jin Yangfen
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 7-13.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (536KB) ( 766 )

This paper makes a generalized description of the research on element zoning and characteristics of element zoning around different heat sources. A discussion is given on some problems which are worth noticing in the application of element zoning to the prognosis of blind orebodies and the evaluation of denudation extent of orebodies.

GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTIC ELEMENTS OF GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE AND THEIR APPLICATION TO THE INTERPRETATION OF REGIONAL GEOCHEMICAL PROSPECTING DATA
    Qi Jiazhe, Mai Guangtian
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 14-21.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (489KB) ( 837 )

A new concept is put forward in this paper, i. e. the geochemical characteristic elements of geological structure. Classification was made and diagnostic criteria were established for various structural geochemical characteristic elements. On such a basis, they were defined individually. It is pointed out that, in the inference and interpretation of data obtained in regional geochemical survey, we should find out geological significance of various sorts of characteristic elements and use such significance as the guiding train of thought so as to obtain more geological information.

A TENTATfVE DISCUSSION ON SYSTEMATIC ENGINEERINC FOR GEOCHEMICAL ORE PROGNOSIS
    Wang Shicben, Meng Xianwei
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 22-26.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (456KB) ( 1018 )

Up till now, exploration geochemistry has been mainly devoted to the appraisal of low and gentle anomalies or indistinct weak anomalies. It is very difficult to attain the aim of geochemical prospecting merely on the basis of traditional methods for finding and evaluating anomalies. With the geochemical theoretical system and methodology as the basis, this. paper attempts to expound the systematicness of geochemical ore prognosis from the angle of systematic engineering. Guided by the systematicness, we could perform geochemical prediction. It consists of three aspects: geochemical theoretical system and methodology make up its basis) geochemical prognosis is the prediction at different levels; the geochemical prognostic system is an integrated prognostic system.

    Abstract   HTML   PDF (548KB) ( 424 )

This paper gives an account of the general situation in the eoelectric chemical study both in China and abroad with the emphasis placed on the d&scription of basic principles and functions of various branches. In addition, it reviews the advances made In tile study of its mechanism both at home and abroad, cites some. successful ore-prospoecting examples. analyses the tap in this aspect between China and advanced countries, and suggests some measures that must be taken at present.

THE APPLICATION OF NUCLEAR GEOPHYSICS TO THE INSITU DETERMINATION OF GRADE AND CALCULATION OF LINEAR RESERVES
Zhang Ye, Hou Shengli, Wu Yue, Chen Youhong
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 42-50.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (528KB) ( 785 )

Some neclear geophysical methods such as x-ray fluorescence sampling method, activation sampling method and gamma-ray radiation sampling method can be used not only in the survey performed on trench bottom at surface or drift wall, but also in the survey conducted on drilling core, borehole wall and bottom of rivers, lakes or oceans. With these methods, we can determine the grade in Situ and the thickness of ore beds and calculate linear reserves, with the advantages of accelerating the exploration work, raising economic benefits and protecting environments.

STUDY ON THE INVERSION METHOD OF 2-D GEOELECTRIC MODEL
    Yang Jin, Fu Liangkui
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1993, 17 (1): 51-56.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (580KB) ( 1021 )

In order to enhance the capacity of data inversion in the electrical method and to find out a better inversion method, we have introduced and developed the Box-Kanemasu method successfully in this paper in addition to studying the application of the modified damping least-square method in a two-dimensional inversion. We have compiled the computer program to be used on two-dimensional data interpretation in electrical prospecting. The results from inverting artificial and field data have proved that the theory is correct and the approach is a good practice.
