Abstract Some neclear geophysical methods such as x-ray fluorescence sampling method, activation sampling method and gamma-ray radiation sampling method can be used not only in the survey performed on trench bottom at surface or drift wall, but also in the survey conducted on drilling core, borehole wall and bottom of rivers, lakes or oceans. With these methods, we can determine the grade in Situ and the thickness of ore beds and calculate linear reserves, with the advantages of accelerating the exploration work, raising economic benefits and protecting environments.
