Abstract Based on an analysis of the seismic data from Damingtun Sag and in the light of high signal-to-noise ratio in the sag area and relatively low frequency in the main targets S3 and S4, the authors designed and developed a kind of high resolution technology composed mainly of the wavelet processing technology and the frequency band separation under the restriction of the FDOM technology. These means can meet the demands of reservoir transverse forecast of S3 and S4, and have already shown good application results.
