Abstract Several special physical models were analyzed and discussed by using the contrastive method in this paper. When some electrodes are lost, the most remarkable change of the resistivity is in the underneath direction, and the anomaly configuration is mostly changed in the horizontal direction because of the location and the number of the lost electrodes.
