Abstract Being a new frontier science, environmental geochemistry deals with the abundance and deficiency of elements and the quality of soil as well as the influence of these factors upon the agricultural environment. This paper has made a comparative analysis of geochemical characteristics of soil in the Jinan-Jiyang study area so as to probe into the above problem in this area.
