Abstract This paper reports some preliminary achievements made in multi-objective geochemical survey of Nanjing-Zhenjiang area, deals with some related problems such as the determination of the background values of soil elements, the inspection and appraisal of geochemical anomalies and the deepgoing studies aiming at meeting the needs of agricultural geology.
