Abstract Based on oil and gas geochemical exploration research work conducted in Ordos basin, it is held that the factors affecting the concentration of acid hydrolytic hydrocarbon are mainly land form, topography, lithologic character, carbonate content and strata. The methods put forward by the authors for eliminating and suppressing these interfering factors prove to be fairly effective in practice.
