Abstract With a set of apparatuses designed by the authors, we can detect the relationship between the radioactive counting of radonadsorbing active carbon and the radon concentration of the environment in which the active carbon exists. The total counts of radon in active carbon orγrays released from its decay daughter are in linear relationship with the radon concentration. After correction, the total counts of γrays can be converted into radon concentration in the environment.
