Abstract New methods and technologies were used to conduct 1:200 000 regional geochemical exploration in Wuchagou sheet, Inner Mongolia. The regional geochemical information obtained quite objectively reflects surface geochemical characteristics of lithosphere in this area. Quite a few geochemical anomalies with ore prospecting significance were detected, which, as shown by preliminary inspection, reflect mineralization. Characteristics of geochemical background distribution provide relatively objective geochemical data for the evaluation of resources and environment and the study of basic geology.
