Abstract The soil natural thermoluminescence is a nuclear technology characterized by deep penetration capacity. It can detect underground deep geophysical information. This paper describes the principle of the soil natural thermoluminescence. The surveying results along two known profiles prove its feasibility in search for deep granite type uranium deposits. The surveying results show that the soil natural thermoluminescence is reliable and is an effective means in search for deep concealed uranium deposits.
