Abstract Asort of interference wave called multiple reflected refraction in the near surface layer usually appears in seismic records, especially in shallow seismic records. In this case, the shallow reflection in the records can not be identified. If the interference is not suppressed in the seismic data processing, the correct interpretation on the seismic section will become impossible.
