Abstract This paper has described the principle and method of using the dual frequency instrument to solve the problem of hydraulic connection for water leakage in wells and adits. Characterized by strong anti-interference capacity, high resolution ratio and portability of the instrument, the dual frequency gradient method has proved effective in practice.
