    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 329-330,344.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (231KB) ( 719 )

In order to seek for metallic orebodies buried at relatively great depth, we should study the great depth induced polarization method. The present paper has made a preliminary discussion on some key problems around the elevation of signal-to-noise ratio, such as the selection of time domain frepuency system, the dual-frequency high power IP system, the great depth IP array technique, and the elimination of coupling effect of electromagnetic induction. This discussion contributes to the research on the great depth induced polarization method.

    Niu Binhua, He Jishan
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 335-344.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (539KB) ( 597 )

In accord with special requirements in engineering exploration, both the theory and the application of the surface wave method require further study and investigation.Synthesizing three major factors of half-space multilayer media, namely elasticity. viscosity and anisotropy, the present paper, using finite element method, established the surface wave frequency divergent equation for this sort of complex media model, and analysed main characteristics of the frequency divergent equation. Such a discussion contributes to the improvement of surface wave exploration technique in engineering exploration.

FREQUENCY DIVERGENT EQUATION OF RAYLEIGH SURFACE FOR HALF-SPACE NONHORIZONTAL LAYER MEDIA
    Niu Binhua, He Jisha
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 345-350,358.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (271KB) ( 619 )

Due to some specific conditions in engineering exploration, some previous theories and conclusions of surface wave have different degrees of limitations in application. In the light of the virtual work variation principle of elastic dynamics, the present paper, when emphatically analysing free surface energy source provided by external forces, introduced the concept of equivalent surfauce wave (energy) seismic focus. Then, with finite element method, the frequency divergent equation of Rayleigh surface wave for half-space multiple nonhorizontal layer media was established. The work contributes to the development and improvement of the surface wave theory and its applied technique.

    GENERALIZED CONJUGATE GRADIENT ALGORITHM
    Zhou Zhusheng, Zhao Heqing
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 351-358.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (658KB) ( 896 )

In the process of solving inverse gaphysical problems, the conjugate gradient (CG) method is one of the classical and valuable main algorithms. Based on classical conjugate gradient standard algorithm, the present paper made further development and deduced the standard algorithm forms for figuring out damping(IRLS)solution under the meaning of least absolute deviation(LAD), which resulted in more generalization of the application of the CG method. This method is called generalized conjugate gradient (GCG) method. In order to render the functions of GCG method more understandable. the paper has given two examples and compared the calculations with the calculations obtained by the generally recognized singular value decompeition(SVD)algorithm for figuring out morbid problems. The results show that the GCG method is characterized by strong capacity for solving morbid problems, high precision and fast operation speed. In addition, the GCG method obviously has two more features:(1) simple algorithm and flexible programming; (2) the capacity for maintaining spare characteristics of the coefficient matrix.

Yu Shuijun, Kong Tiesheng, Liang Diannong
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 359-364.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (354KB) ( 433 )

Based on a detailed discussion on the energy function representation of the structure extraction problem and through proper transformaton and arrangment of the energy function representation, the present paper has introduced beher order associated nonlinear continuous time neural net to the extraction problem of characteristic structure. This method is directly perceivable and understandable. It makes the characteristic structure to be extracted directly correspond to the output when the net is stable. and can conduct self-adaptive tracking and evaluation, thus opening up a new field in the extraction of charatrtidtic structure.

THE APPLICATION OF POLAROGRAPHY TO LOGGING
Zhao Qiumei, Wen Peilin, Xiao Bing
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 365-368,373.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (321KB) ( 617 )

In grophysical logging, the measured parameters generally include resistivity, polarizability, magnetic susceptibility etc. As we know, the few measured parameters will lead to multiplicity of inversion and interpretation. In this paper, a new logging method, namely polarographic logging, is described, which provides a new logging parameter metallic ion concentration of the borehole water. The indoor experiments prove the feasibility and effectivenes of polarographic logging.

PRECISE INVERSE INTERPRETATION OF GRAVITY DATA FROM DONGTING LAKE AREA
    Zhu Ziqiang, Cheng Zhen
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 393-396.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (311KB) ( 494 )

Rapid accurate three-dimensional forward calculation was performed to evaluate gravity anomalies of the top of Cretaceous and various density interfaces above this top. With the "barking method",the gravity effects of the top of Cretaceous and various density interfaces above it were subtracted from the measured gravity anomalies to obtain the residual anomaly, and on such a basis the depth of the bottom of Cretaceous in the study area was calculated through inversion. As rapid three-dimensional inverse algorithm was adopted with a consideration of information on geological and aeromagnetic anomalies, the thickness of Cretaceous was evaluated, and the calculated buried depth of the bottom boundary was more reasonable and precise. These data provide important information for the basic research and appraisal of the oil and gas rosources in Dongting area.

A TENTATIVE DISCUSSION ON HACSAMY METHOD
    Xi Zhenzhu, Bao Guangshu
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (5): 397-400.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (316KB) ( 394 )

When HACSAMT method is used to survey basic signal without any other equipment, working personnel and working time, the data of harmonic amplitude and phase can be collected, and hence the efficiency can be considerably raised. In addition,as harmonic useful signal is applied, the frequency of CSAMT becomes dense and,as a result, the vertical resolving power of CSAMT is improved.
