Using the digital image processing technique, this paper makes a mixed classification study of aerial radiogenic data, and deals tentatively with its principles and roles in geological mapping. On Such a basis, the authors used for the first time the concept of mixed classification to conduct experimental researches in Tongling area, which yielded sattisfactory results.
