Henan Province is short of lead-zinc resources. During the 7th Five-Year Plan period, the No. 2 Regional Geological Surveying Party of Henan Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources performed prospecting for lead-zinc deposits using the induced polarization method and, as a result, found lots of anomalies with ore-prospecting significance and quite a few promising places for ore-search. With the close coordination of geological and geophysical methods, the anomaly reexamination reached a discovery rate of 90 per cent, and two lead-zinc ore spots were consequently expanded into medium-sized ore depo sits, thus yielding quite satisfactory ore-prospecting results.
