Abstract The second generation aerogeophysical prospecting has been carried out byMinistry of Geology and Mineral Resources with initial results obtained. Thispaper begins with a review on the advances made by aerogeophysical pro-specting work in recent years in its methods and techniques and then describesin detail the present conditions of the second generation aerogeophysical pro-specting aed its outcomes, especially the initial ore prospecting results obtained.The directions for further work are pointed out and the economic benifits likelyto be gained in future work are analysed.
