Abstract This paper describes the geological effects of high-precision aeromagnetic survey and high-sensitivity aeroradiometry performed from 1985 to 1988 by Aerogeophysical Remote Sensing Center in eleven areas including Binxian-Boxing.sea area of Liaodong Gulf, Uagang, northern part of central Hebei, mouth of the Yellow River and Nanyang basin. It summarizes the role played by high-precision aerogeophysical prospecting method in prospecting for oil-gas fields, and makes a preliminary discussion on direct search for oil.
