Abstract Using geochemical methods, this paper studies the migration form of gold in various gold deposits of the Linglong gold orefield and its geochemical significance. The results show that gold migrated in the form of various complexes such as AuCl4-, AuCl2-, Au(HS)2- and Au2S(HS)22-, with AuCl2- dominant in the early hypothermal stage and Au(HS)2- dominant in the late mesothermal-epithermal stage. This understanding is of great significance in the study and application of new geochemical gold prospecting techniqes such as thermal chlorine-releasing and geoelectrical chemical survey.
