Abstract Compared with conventional coal-fired power generation the offshore wind resource is a kind of clean and renewable energy. This paper describes the sub-bottom profile application in the research of offshore wind power. The project mainly detected on the oil pipelines in wind farm area and the data were processed with the supporting software. And the project accurately located the position of the petroleum pipeline and provided a basis for the safe construction of wind farms.
