Abstract The preliminary study of the geochemical characteristics of the Liangjiagou ore district was based on the 1:10 000 geochemical soil survey. The study of element distribution features and element anomaly characteristics shows that the study area might be a potential area for Ag, Pb, Mo and W. Combining the element anomalies association features and geochemical-geological genesis of the ore district with the ore-search prospect, the authors consider that Binglenggou, Weizigou and Qiaogou should be regarded as the ore exploration targets.
