In the past ten to twenty years, there has been rapid development in the study of rock magnetism, which therefore occupies an increasingly important position in the field of geology. The focus of the stady conducted both in China and abroad lies in the correlation between magne-tic fabric and strain as well as the application of magnetic fabric to the structural analysis of magmatic rocks and sedimentary rocks. This paper emphatically studies magnetic fabric characte-ristics of unaltered volcanic lava with the purpose of providing basic reference system for the study of correlation between magnetic fabric of volcanic rocks and limited strain and also sup-plying grounds to related simnlation experiments.
