Acase history used in geothermal geochemical exploration in Teng Chong Area, Yunnan Province, China, is presented. Soil samples were collected at the sampling density of two per square kilometer, As, Sb, Bi and Bcontents in soils. as the geothermal new indicators were studied to contract with Hg. The distinct anomalies of Hg, As, Sb and Bi in soils were discovered over geothermal fields. The outlines of the anomalies fairly accord with one another. Banomaly indicates the stracture features of the geothermal fields. Relationships among these elements are investigeted in terms of correlation analysis, regression analysis and geochemical nature of the elements. This method may serve as a-rapid and efficient approach in regional geothermal reconnaissance.
