Abstract:Exemplified by the exploration of a certain iron deposit in Indonesia, this paper deals with the effectiveness of the audio frequency magnetotelluric sounding (AMT) method in search for concealed iron deposits. In combination with the magnetic method, the low resistivity body of the AMT method was utilized to delineate the concealed magnetite body. The results provided geophysical basis for drill hole design and mine development and achieved good exploration effect in international commercial exploration.
