Abstract The prospecting target of the Errenshan-Huangshipogou polymetallic ore deposit was delineated based on the characteristics of geological structure of the gold-silver metallogenic belt, geochemistry and geophysical characteristics revealed during the prospecting for polymetallic ore deposits in the Beishan Mountain of Weining. By using the EH-4 conductivity imaging system, the authors detected the vertical extension, attitude and characteristics of the ore-bearing fractured zone and, on such a basis, achieved fairly satisfactory ore prospecting results.
