Abstract The gamma spectrometer is developed in the digitized direction with the development of electronic technology and digital signal processing technology. In order to study and master the core technology of digital gamma spectrometer, the authors designed a gamma spectrometer based on digital pulse amplitude analyzer. This system consists of three parts, i.e., signal conditioning circuits, high-speed A/D acquisition card and digital signal processing program. The digital pulse analyzer based on high-speed capture card and digital signal processing program is crated to avoid building complex analogue circuits, and hence the flexibility and anti-interference capability of data-processing could be enhanced, and the pulse passing rate and actual measurement accuracy could also be improved.
