Abstract This paper discusses the reason why the TEM observation resistivity is lower or much lower than actual resistivity. It is caused by the additional effect of the electric field coupling between the transmit coil and the receiving coil during the time of power supply. This effect becomes a strong background values in the measurement of the transient potential. This paper gives the method and measures for eliminating (or weakening) this field interference.
