Abstract The present paper describes theτ-p transformation,t he“adjustable t hreshold value”and“target cir-cling”techniques,which are utilized in processing shallow seismic prospecting data to abstract Rayleigh waves,re-flected p-waves and refracted p-waves simultaneously. Results of calculation for models indicate that these techniques can be satisfactorily employed for multiwave prospecting as well as for conventional single-type-wave prospecting.
