Abstract With such data-processing methods as comparative analysis, the present paper applied the 1:500000 regional geochemical data of Heilongjiang Province to the agricultural problem. A comparison between yield of major crops and distribution of geochemical elements in soils and stream sediments shows that there exists certain relationship between yield of crops and content of trace elements. Of the trace elements, Co exerts obvious influence upon the yield of soybean, and Zn evidently affects the yield of crops like beet, wheat and rice. On such a basis, the paper has advanced preliminary agrogeochemical planting regionalization in Heilongjiang Province.
