THE DEVELOPMENT AND UTILIZATION OF GEOPHYSICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) AND THE INTEGRATED ANALYSIS OF GEOSCIENCE INFORMATION FOR THE PROGNOSIS OF ORE RESOURCES
Xiang Yunchuan, Ren Tianxiang, Yang Zhuxi
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 1-13.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (959KB) ( 854 )

The integrated analysis Of ore resource information seems to be one Of the effective means for optimization of targets. In the past, the work was done artificially. Being time-consuming and costly, the work could hardly attain the expected result. At present, the processing of data by computer technique has become a reality. The geophysical information system (GIS) developed in recent years, in particular, has opened up vast prospects for integrated processing of geoscience data and prognosis of ore resources.Being a sort of application software of the computer system, the geographical information system combines data base mangement and image analysis into an organic whole, with superposition analysis of spatial data as an important feature. Useful information is extracted from multi-source geoscience data and, after that, the prognostic model is established by using experts' knowledge in combination with such mathematic methods as logical calculus and Bayes decision rule. With the inference network of the model as the clue and through the utilization of the effective spatial analytical means of the geographical information system, the superposition of various sorts of evidence image layers is realized and eventually a prognostic map of ore resources with probabilities as indices is formulated, which can indicate favorable prospect areas with high probability, and night be used by explorers and policy-mak- ers as basis for reconnaissance program.

COMPOSITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS AND MODES OF OCCURRENCE OF GEOGAS CURRENT OVER THE ZOUPING COPPER DEPOSIT, SHANDONG PROVINCE
    Wu Zonghua, Jin Yangfeng
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 14-22.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (519KB) ( 584 )

This paper deals with the method of applying XPS to the study of compositional characteristics and modes of occurrence of geogas current and presents the results of the research conducted over the Zouping concealed copper deposit, Shandong Province. The results show that some characteristic compnents in geogas current are related to copper deposits at depth, and some components have to do with surficial soil. Such elements as Au、Ag、Cu and Pb are present as simple substances, sulfides and oxides. There also exists An of negative valence sstate in some unknown sulfides.

THE STUDY AND APPLICATION OF X-RADIATION SAMPLING TECHNIQUE OF MUCLEAR GEOPHYSICS
Zhang Ye, Cheng Yexun, Ge Liangquan, Hou Shengli, Chen Youhong
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 23-27.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (2509KB) ( 534 )

The present paper has dealt with the physical basis of X-radiation sampling technique and made systematic analysis and study of three key technical problems in X-radiation sampling: unevenness effect, matrix effect and heterogeneous mineralization effect. What is more, the paper puts forward methods and techniques to solve these problems, which were successfully used in reconnaissance, exploration and mining stages of gold, tin and copper deposits and could meet the demands of production departments.

A DISCUSSION ON THE SELECTION OF ELEVATION SYSTEM IN ALTITUDE CORRECTION OF GRAVITY SURVEY
    Li Baoheng
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 35-39.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (345KB) ( 672 )

The observed values of gravity survey must undergo normal field and elevation correction. Therefore, the plane positions and elevations of gravity measuring points must be measured; the elevation survey, in particular, must be very precise. In theodolites, surveyor's levels and range finders used previously for geodesic work, the “normal elevation system” of geoid surface was adopted for the elevation system on the has of “specifications”. In recent you, the Gladal Positioning System (GPS) has been introded into gravity survey, and the elevation of GPS survey is “geodetic elevation system” of WGS-84, so that the “geodetic elevation” must be converted into “normal elevation”. This conversion requires considerable amounts of work and adds to possibilities of errors. Based on analysing theoretical formula of normal gravity field of the earth, the author holds that the geodetic elevation of GPS survey might ha adopted for cavity altitude correction.

A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF AGROGEOCHEMISTRY OF HEILONGJIANG PROVINCE
    Ge Xiaoli, Wu Xisheng
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 40-48.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (702KB) ( 890 )

With such data-processing methods as comparative analysis, the present paper applied the 1:500000 regional geochemical data of Heilongjiang Province to the agricultural problem. A comparison between yield of major crops and distribution of geochemical elements in soils and stream sediments shows that there exists certain relationship between yield of crops and content of trace elements. Of the trace elements, Co exerts obvious influence upon the yield of soybean, and Zn evidently affects the yield of crops like beet, wheat and rice. On such a basis, the paper has advanced preliminary agrogeochemical planting regionalization in Heilongjiang Province.

THE HETEROGENEITY OF THE UPPER MANTLE OF THE CHINESE CONTINENT AND THE PROGNOSIS OF ORE RESOURCES
Peng Cong, Li Xiaopeng, Xue Guangqi, Dong Yingjun
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 49-57.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (592KB) ( 531 )

Based on full collection, arrangement and integrated study of information from 11 globe geoscience transects (called GGT for short) and tens of other geophysical profiles (seismic profiles, geothermal flux profiles and magnetotelluric sounding profiles) in the Chinese continent as well as shear wave three-dimensional velocity structural data that cover the Chinese continent and neighboring regions, the present paper has described crustal structure, lithospheric structure and rheospheric structure in the Chinese continent and neighboring regiona, and made a brief discussion on the prognosis of ore resources in the Chinese continent. The lithospheric structure of China was developed on the basis of rheosphere of three different sorts of natures and hence shows obvious inheritance. The lithospheric structure is to certain extent in accord with the geotectonic unit, suggesting that the crustal structure is influenced and restricted by the lithosphere. The crust and the upper mantle both exhibit low-velocity nature, and the vertical low-vvelocity zones of seismic waves seem to be the good environment for the formation of endogenic polymetallic ore belts.

    LABORATORY STUDY OF SEISMO-ELECTROMAGNETIC EFFECTS
Zhong Qing, Yang Piyuan, Lin Tianliang
    Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration. 1996, 20 (1): 58-63.
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (381KB) ( 583 )

The present paper deals briefly with a new geophysical method, namely seismo-electromagnetic effect method, and a laboratory-used test device developed by ourselves, with examples given illustrating the utilization of this device to the analysis of rock and ore samples.Experiments show that the generation of seismo-electromagnetic signals is related to fracturing of rocks and ores, and seismo-electromagnetic signals of different rocks and ores have different frequency spectral characteristics. Therefore, useful information might be extracted by utilizing these characteristics.
