Researches have been made on paleomagnetism of Early Permian stratain Ili area, Xinjiang, and the results indicate that: 1) during Early Permian,the Ili landmass was stuck on the Eurasian continent through accretion andlinked with the Tarim landmass; 2) after Early Permian, the Ili landmassexperienced large-scale clockwise rotation relative to the northern stableregion of the Eurasian continent.
