Abstract The transient electromagnetic sounding method is often processed with the step wave model by using square pulse wave activate source. This operation will result in obvious deviation in theory. The authors suggested using single pulse (function) active source electromagnetic sounding method for processing data and explaining the square pulse active source. Practice shows that this means is feasible.
