Abstract This paper discusses methods of estimating airborne gravity anomalies. Based on the Kalman smoothing techniques, the authors developed the software for estimating airborne gravity anomalies. Research shows that, if this software is used to estimate airborne gravity anomalies, the standard deviation of the discrepancy is within 1 mGal in comparison with the data processing results by the imported GT-1A system software.
