Abstract The Mengguyingzi ore district lies in the Chifeng-Chaoyang gold ore belt and Xilamumulunhe metallogenic belt. Through 1∶25000 reconnaissance and 1∶10000 detailed investigation, geophysical and geochemical anomalies of the ore deposit were discovered. Drilling verification shows that this ore deposit is a metallic sulfide deposit with abundant gold and molybdenum. This ore deposit deserves further ore prospecting work in that its size is fairly remarkable.
