Abstract Beginning with the present situation of radon researches in China and abroad and the basic theory in radon measurement with active carbon, this paper has analyzed the factors affecting the application of this method. On such a basis, the data processing of this method is discussed. The method was used to detect the underground workedout area in Nanyan Village of Gujiao, with a good result obtained.
