Abstract Based on experiments, this paper deals with several problems concerning the constant-wavelength synchronous fluorescence technology in oil and gas geochemical exploration, which include the interpretation of the spectra, the correlation between Δλ and method sensitivity, and the intrinsic relationships between different fluorescence methods. The understanding of these problems is helpful to the improvement of the application and development of this technology in oil and gas geochemical exploration.
