Abstract This paper deals with the distribution regularity of Au in-10~+60,-60~+100,-100~+160 and -160 meshes for Layer A soil in forest and swampy areas of central Heilongjiang Province. It is considered that -100 mesh can be used for low density deep penetration sampling in geochemical survey, and that sampling with this granularity can help to find anomaly effectively.
