Abstract Statistical analysis was carried out on the petrophysical parameters and geochemical indexes for more than 40 intrusive bodies located in Hebei Province. As a setting of marginal ore forming process, the transitional belt from I type to S type intrusive rocks does exist in nature. On he basis of the above mentioned reasons, the spatial distribution of I type and S type intrusive rocks has been mapped by density and susceptibility. The transitional belt from I type to S type intrusive rocks is considered to be a favorable area of mineral deposits.
